BMA provides you with engineering services "Made in Germany" across the globe. In addition to our head office in Braunschweig , we have five subsidiaries in Brazil, China, Russia, Tunisia and the United States. Relations between our employees from 25 different nations are marked by professionalism, mutual trust, and respect for each other's work. Having an international focus to us means more than simply exporting technologies from the producing sugar industry . We combine our expertise with local know-how in order to develop custom solutions that meet all of our customers' requirements.

Holding

Salzgitter Maschinenbau AG (SMAG) headquartered in Salzgitter is a holding company that today manages and coordinates three business segments: Lifting Equipment, Special Purpose Machines, and Process Engineering. This last segment provides solutions developed by BMA Braunschweigische Maschinenbauanstalt AG, in which SMAG acquired the majority share in 2018.

SMAG’s worldwide leading position in the market is the result of its strong problem-solving capabilities, superior products that have set standards in the industry, a powerful international sales force, and its global service network. The Group’s customers include shipping companies, port operators, manufacturers of dock and mobile cranes, construction equipment, or special-purpose vehicles, European armed forces, mining and drilling companies – and now also sugar producers from across the globe. The SMAG Group currently employs a workforce of around 2,000 worldwide.
